Hofcafé Utz in Gstadt am Chiemsee

Very tasty cake, nice service, cozy atmosphere

We were already in 2014 with 10 people in the Utz-Cafe and not since then, because the prices were not justified for the location and the breakfast offered. Today we tried again, because my friend had a voucher that she wanted to use of course. Nothing has changed for the better, which I initially assumed when I read the reviews. Still totally overpriced and because of the quiet, the farmer started at 3:30 p.m. to mow the lawn around the seats, although the cafe is still closed and the weather has been nice the last few days. He could still have mowed at 6 p.m. because that's when they close.

Delicious soups, breads and cakes. Unfortunately, the café smells a lot of fat.

Here the guest is pampered with home-made culinary delights with a lot of love. You can also feel that customs and solidarity are lived here. We would like to come again.

The Utzhof with its traditional ambience is worth a visit! The Hofcafé offers all kinds of delicacies from savory to sweet. The service was super friendly and met every request. I hope the places will be expanded next season. I look forward to seeing you again soon.

One of the best places I've been to so far. Everything here is really homemade and you can taste it! ? The restaurant, or coffee as you take it, because you get coffee and cake as well as hearty dishes here, is a family business and everything is made fresh and fresh, so it can sometimes be that at a later hour or another is already out. The restaurant is furnished with great attention to detail and also has a beer garden with a fantastic view. It is beautifully and idyllically located in the middle of the Chiemgau, not far from the Chiemsee (Bavarian Sea), just as you imagine it in a picture book ?

A beautiful little cafe that you almost have to look for. But it's worth it. Furnished with so much attention to detail. Even if you've been there several times, you always discover something new. The service, the range of dishes and first of all the cakes and pies. In addition, a really good coffee, with which a glass of water is always served. Gladly again!

Very nice, especially to sit outside without traffic noise, nature close to the edge of the village, family business, very nice service, who also fulfills special requests in a friendly and creative way, homemade cakes and delicious, changing warm dishes, playground with a few devices for children, rustic inside. I prefer to sit outside. Everything loving and friendly.

Nice staff and very delicious cakes / pies. On weekends, however, it is very crowded and difficult to get a seat. I would recommend to visit this place during the week.

We stayed at Utzhof in apartment "Laubenhorst" for a week in June and had a lovely time. In walking distance to the Chiemsee beach in Gollenshausen, really ideal for water fun with children. The apartment is very clean and cosy, provided great views onto the mountains, and is at the end of a quite village road. The Utzhof does not have farm animals any more but plenty of neighbour farms with cows and everyone welcomed our visit with our toddler. The Utzhof is also just a 10 min car/ bus ride away from Gstadt, where you can take a ferry to Herrenchiemsee and Frauenchiemsee islands (Really worth a trip!). Delicious coffee and cakes available in the Utzhof cafe , as well as fabulous Bavarian "Brotzeiten" (dinner). Would highly recommend.
